Iowa Democrats Big Cancer Lie.

No doubt many of you have seen the Democrat/Communist attack ads blaming Ashley Hinson, Zach Lahn and Republicans for Iowa cancer rates. This cancer falsehood is a quintessential example of the Big Lie agitation propaganda tactic. Every radical totalitarian regime in history employs this tactic.

The single most significant elevating effect on cancer is age. Fifty four percent of all cancer diagnoses occur between ages 55 and 74. Another 19% occur in 75-84. The sum is 73% of all cancer diagnosis hit people leaving middle age and becoming old.

Ag chemicals, like the kinds sold by Rob Sand's billionaire wife, are closely linked to the incidents of cancer in a given population. Sand's wife and family own the Lauridsen Group, a billion dollar ag chemical manufacturer. Under Sand's wife the Lauridsen Group has dumped animal waste into Iowa's water system and has been fined and subject to further investigation

Essentia Protein Solutions is a subsidiary of The Lauridsen Group with a plant in central Iowa which produces powders and other protein products out of animal byproducts. The plant was fined $8,000 in 2026 and faced repeated issues with releasing blood and processing waste into the rural town of Lytton’s wastewater system in part due to issues with its processing waste lagoon. Rob Sand’s campaign did not respond to Sentient’s request for comment.

The reader will note Lauridsen's massive livestock confinements area are major polluters. Of course, the same article also exposes Lauridsen's support for Dem/Com and Republican candidates. It looks like they decided to simply acquire a governor by marriage. Lauridsen has already spent $11.5 million on Sand's campaign.

The Big Lie is particularly false about Zach Lahn. Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds has already proposed $100 million plan to test and remedy chemical pollution of Iowa's water pollution. Lahn ran a MAHA campaign in the primary and the Democrats just stole the issue, albeit without providing any action the Dem/Coms propose to solve the problem. Unlike both Governor Reynolds and candidate Lahn, Sand has displayed no understanding of the ag chemical problem and procvided absolutely no solutions.

The Medicaid cut half of the Big Lie is even more preposterous. The Medicaid reductions only began on January 1, 2026 so seven months ago. The total reductions to date have been only 1% of the national Medicaid budgets. Cancer rates could not be affected in seven months. A 1% reduction does not even reduce spending below the amount of Medicaid Fraud.  The cuts have had no effects in Iowa.

The Owl encourages Republicans to start exposing the Dem/Coms Big Lie about the GOP causing cancer. Expose their lies or suffer the same fate Governor Nussle suffered in 2006 when Republicans conceded the then mere Democrats fetal stem cell lies.
